Silver Mantis SF
My VG just finished the Silver Mantis SF last night. We split it over two sessions and overall it went pretty well. The team was a Bots/FF MM, a Necro/Dark MM, a Eng/Regen Stalker and a Dark/Fire Brute. The Brute was level 22 and the rest of us were auto-malfactored down to 25. The Brute actually leveled twice during the SF. The missions are fairly standard composed of Skyraiders assults several other villan group bases I think we had some Freak, Tsoo, Crey and a couple other I think. Most of the missions have the same basic maps but some of the maps have been dressed up really nice. The hospital mission was alot of fun. The other thing I noticed was the ambushes were very big and frequent in these missions.
The most difficult part was the last mission. Yeah it had an AV in it but that wasn't the main problem. We have to assualt that huge Skyraider oil rig and destroy enough of it so the AV would come and get us. The main problem was the automated guns and the fact that it is a vertically challenging map. Also the pets really go crazy on this map. I spent a lot of the time just trying to keep them controlled and attacking the correct target.
All in all it was a good SF. Does anyone know if there are more SFs you can get through the base mission computer and how you get them? It's the only one we have in our base computer.
