He smiled further and slipped a bit to the left, allowing her to settle down beside him, to share the dappled shadows beneath the large tree. Glancing about, he quirked an eyebrow and glanced down at the little queen.
"But where is Trumpkin? You two are inseparable, it seems."

"A queen can wander on her own if she likes, you know. She does not need a chaperone. Besides, if no one accompanies me, no one will ever find out if I have been mischievous."
Lucy laughs happily. It isn't like this back in England. As a queen, she can do whatever she likes.
