Work is total mayhem. It's a massive, massive, massive machine with all the efficiency of the Russian Space Program, and little piggy in the middle has to sort it out. I'm actually having nightmares for the first time in ages about the magnitude of the task infront of me. Interestingly, in my dreams I'm up for the problems I'm facing and defeat isn't an option, from my interpretation. We'll see...
The drive to and from work is proving to be a total knacker. I'm awake at 6.30am and may have to make it half an hour earlier if I'm to work from HO (which I must, seeing how I've just started). Asked if I wanted a laptop so I could work from home, I turned it down for the moment - I have to get a grip on the beast before I can start taking the easy option, and I fully bear in mind the effort
slypants had to make while he was building his castle. If I can have what he has in a few years, I'll be sorted, I reckon. Probably still in debt and wifeless, but I'll have a nice car and a boat that doesn't sink every weekend.
Big love to
ruddyj and hoping he finds some clients of power on his new found adventure. I've no doubt in my mind at all that he will.
Tonight I met up with Pam, a recruiter I met through my old company that I hit it off with. A quick pint then back to hers to meet her hubby, beautiful staff terrier and wierd home office from which she made her canvass call of bother a few years ago that set up a good friendship. Her hubbah also sorted me out with a book on gardening that I'd been after for a while.
Fianlly taken delivery of my iPod Nano from Amazon, at last. I'm actually going to forgo WoW in favour of trying to sort out my first iPod experience.
Regrettably, I wandered into Game on a search for nephew Christmas presents and was reminded of
Call Of Duty 4 and realised I was screwed completely and must have, yes.
