I had a lot of catching up to do...

Apr 09, 2012 14:44

So, I hadn't played CoX in a few months, just because life and work and other games were clubbing me like the proverbial baby seal, so I took the nice long Easter Weekend to get back into it and see what was happening. I decided to deprive myself of all the available information on Issue 21 and 22 and what not and jump right in.

Beyond lies only madness and horror. And maybe a healthy dose of foolishness. Oh and some spoilers, so if you haven't played DA or Who Will Die, caveat emptor. )

LMAO, this made my day!

And welcome back to the chaos; even w/out a break my brain is not fast enough for all the new stuff XD

Seriously, they're machines over there, cranking out new content like there's no tomorrow. My brain is still in Issue 18, tops. ;-)

Yeah, that was my suspicion, too. If I like that hasty pace, I have yet to decide.

The 'Mot eating people' animation is just too silly for words.

Oh, wait, it's not -- OM NOM NOM is perfect.

Mot is clearly the inventor of the "OM NOM NOM" sound. It just kept quiet about it because it wanted to wait for the right moment to reveal itself. Cheeky Mot.

Weirded me out the first time my Lore pets followed me into a Personal Story. :)

They're like Al in Quantum Leap. "Ok, Recyclotrix, it looks like you've leapt into a woman's body. Ziggy thinks you're in the early 21st century, Paragon City. Looks like you need redemption of some kind. Try not to mess up. Oh, and sorry I look like a whirling mass of gravitic energy. Looks like the Holoprojector's on the fritz again. See you in 48 minutes with commercials!"

Ha!

Back in Beta, if you had the Coyote travel power, you shifted form but kept the speed and jump boost. You could really shoot around in the personal missions.

I've found that with my kin, I can siphon speed someone, and then go into the mission speed boosted.

Oooh, siphon speed! Of course! I didn't even think of that. I know how my next Personal Story Mission is turning out...

"Oh no, I'm just here to tell you about this door. But my supervisor, Captain Nolan, knows a bit more. Maybe you should talk to him, like the popup screen suggested ten minutes ago."
"...fine. You win this round, but we shall meet again."

I smell a Mission Architect arc waiting to happen.

When they invent the Broomstick Travel Power, I'll circle his head screaming "I'LL GET YOU, CAPTAIN NOLAN! AND YOUR LITTLE PPD COPPER TOO!"
