Vote on Consolidation of the communities

So, the mods have been mulling this over a while, and we believe it's time to bring the issue up and get community input.

The CityofVillains community sees less and less use as time goes on, and even the last handful of co-op events haven't seen any crossposting

Other: I am a Mod that is recusing himself, but would like to see the results without clicking the poll number and view results.

For future ref, you usually can hit the Submit button on a poll without selecting any of the choices, and this will show you the results.

I vote for consolidation with a caveat: heavy usage of cut tags. Folks have been pretty good, but if everything is going to go in one place, unless the post is only a couple lines long, it NEEDS to be cut, and it needs to be an enforceable rule.

Have... the posts to the other communities been unusually large?

As I said, "Folks have been pretty good"... but putting everything in one place means there's more posts happening in that one place - granted, the other communities were somewhat stagnant, but being allowed to place everything here in one central area means the other posts are likely to start happening more frequently - and it needs to be an enforceable rule instead of just "courtesy".

I was opposed to this every time it came up years ago, both when I was mod and when I was not, even when they gave everyone access to both games. But Going Rogue has changed my mind, and I long ago stopped bothering to crosspost anything.

I can give you guys access to city_of_trading if you want, or I can just close it to new posts and link city_of_heroes like you described. Just let me know.

It's a very different game than it used to be, and becoming even more so with "Freedom".

I imagine they feel the same, but I can't speak for the other mods and I have no interest in taking on ownership/moderating of another community. Discussion is still open on the matter, however, so I would hold on making any call until Sunday.

Same. There used to be a reason to keep these separate. With the exception of spoilers for missions, there really isn't anymore, and spoilers should be behind a cut anyways.

Used to be against, but the game is evolving so I see no reason not to follow suit.
