But, it was all part of an experiment, because it was never at times that you wanted it, or it would be a comfortable thing. especially the bots that had the forcefield. they'd trap you and then wouldn't let you go until you kissed someone.

I think they were trying to see if love could be trained into people. it's the only logical explanation.
