It took all of 10 minutes to plant them, so what took me so long? In the last two weeks I've put down a few yards of mulch and planted about 20 white azaleas and 4 new spireas, pulled many bushels-full of weeds from the garden, reseeded the lawn (yes I know; we're trying to sell the house so I need a lawn...) pruned (at last) the cherry trees and everything else, took out the old broccoli and put in some new herbs... but somehow there was no time for beans. UNTIL TODAY.
This year I'm trying for productivity over beauty:
"Jade" -- 60 days, "A vigorous 18 - 22 inch, upright bush type that produces huge yields of rich tasty 5-7 inch, pencil-straight pods.
"Venture" -- 55 days, "This Blue Lake type makes a sweet, tender pod. It is very early and intensely productive."
Both from Territorial.
We shall see!
