Mood Music & Trying to Write Prose Again

Dec 18, 2011 02:32

Moody song I heard in USA drama 'Person of Interest', end of s.1 ep.10. I downloaded it at Amazon UK yesterday, swear word in the beginning so if you don't like that, don't listen.

Wrote this today, 18th December - leading up to 2:00am, while listening to it and thinking, usually a mistake that latter one :)

I do love dramatic, moody music! I guess I'm a closet drama queen.

okay, attempt at prose poetry (work in progress), or just rambling as usual, put the music on and remember to do a big *sigh* at the end ;)

Chronic Illness (M.E.)

I don’t know when I noticed forty long years (a fair bit of hard labour thrown in), departed in the dragging blink of an eye. Had it slunk away, ashamed at how our body had betrayed us? Growing restless during the last twenty-four years wandering in the hazed wilderness of vanishing small studies and desperate trials? So many questions unanswered, so many people indifferent, doubting. Years left wondering when the broken, squeaky wheel would stop. Would it grind desperately, pushing against the flow, frustrated, wearing the body away with each twist of decaying life? Maybe it would fizzle and pop into darkness (a defective Catherine Wheel), finally calm and quiet. Does it even work that way?

ramble, prose, music, poetry
