Arashi - New Concert DVD and Beautiful World Album
Last Saturday ( 16th July), I finally received Arashi’s new album Beautiful World and the special edition Kimi to Boku no Miteiru Fukei (Tokyo Dome) concert DVD.
I have both concert DVDs for this tour and if I had know there was a special Tokyo Dome edition coming out I wouldn’t have pre-ordered the first DVD, but now I’m glad I did because while there are a lot of nice moments on the special edition between the boys, if you’re not bothered so much about the extras, training camp and interviews and photo booklet, overall I enjoyed the atmosphere of the first concert more, but luckily I had just enough Christmas money left over to get both!
I really love the dance/song medley they do after the song Showtime, which is of course on both DVDs, but the Juntoshi kiss is on the first concert DVD and not the special edition :) The photo booklet is really nice from the training camp excursion with the special edition, and I really like both sets of packaging, so not disappointed at all to have both.
Anyway, I need to watch them again to compare, I was rather tired when I watched the special edition so maybe didn’t enjoy it as much as I could have… Yeah, right, any excuse to watch them again :)
I like the album and surprisingly Nino’s solo is my favourite, usually I lean more towards Ohno, but track 10 どこにでもある唄 is a very pretty ballad that so far is my favourite song on the album.
The packaging for the album is white and the lyric booklet that comes with the first press edition, or maybe with all the albums for all I know, has some nice photos. At the moment I think I still like Kimi to Boku no Miteiru Fukei better, but on saying that, I don’t think there’s a song on the whole album that I actively dislike which is saying something because you rarely get an album from anyone where you like all the songs without exception.
