"I'm more comfortable with a journey if I know the destination."
I agree with this statement. I was thinking within the context of film, and how I generally get more out of a film the second (or third or fourth) time around. Like, for example, Sweeny Todd. It's based on a well-known tragedy, so you have a pretty good idea where it's going.
This applies to lots of things. Cooking, driving across the country, learning calculus.
