Does this program exist?

I'm looking to organize the media I have on my computer using tags, because the whole file-folder metaphor really isn't doing it for me anymore. Unless you intentionally go off the beaten path, your computer currently treats a file like a physical object. It lives in a "folder" on your computer ( Read more... )

Collectorz.com has several different programs, one for movies, one for DVDs, one for MP3s to ease this, but no unifying media organizer. TVedia is handy Win32 Media PC software that lets you browse things on the drive nicely, but organization isn't good. Personally, I'm still on discovery mode for something like what you're asking for, heh.

itunes would work. although, you dont have tabs named director and shit, you can use one thats named something else and use it as a director tab
