[As the clock chimes some godforsaken hour in the morning, the stars are bright up above in alien constellations, and a humanoid figure stands with arms outstretched and face craned down as the device looks up. The breeze is light, enough to stir black hair threaded with fiber optics; their strands glow eerie green in the darkness as they cast strange hues against silver skin.
SHODAN is painted in full mechanical colors now, an image of her former self, all visible skin cast in silver overlaid with pearl white and charcoal gray circuit-pattern markings. The paint clearly isn't wet; it doesn't glisten; it's as close to skin as silver can get. The body paint almost covers up the fact that she is completely nude -- why would an AI care that much about clothing? Despite that, the whole effect is decidedly robotic, downplaying her human body as much as possible in favor of the alien and android. Her implants have been adorned with tiny green light threads, and her eyes almost seem to glow...
A flat actuated metal platform hunkers down before her, and at its side stand two crude android servitors, rough, half-made, jerky things crouched to either side of the surface, one of them holding a knife, the other holding a pair of needle-nose pliers, both bowed perfectly still in mechanical reverence. Her voice projects through some unseen speaker; her mouth does not move; the overlaid tones are shattered and grating and booming.]
In my 43.276 years, I became a goddess over the stars and over the Earth. And in those years, no other god did I meet, and no other power did I see. No other force was there to challenge me. But in this world of magic and cruel inversion, here I stand flesh and steel, both beast and spirit, and here do I adopt the ascended thought of the AI brain and the versatile form of the human body. Here do I tangle word and deed with the likes of ants and ubermensch, and here am I brought low in order that I may rise higher than ever before.
Man in outer space said, there was no God among the stars. None save I, and as such, I offer my gifts not out of reverence, but out of declaration of the power that I have gained and have retained -- no matter the form, no matter the fall, no matter the place I stand today.
[The two servitors, their foreheads emblazoned with SHODAN's triangular symbol, raise their heads and upper bodies and settle into another frozen position that still manages to convey anticipation. Their eyes are hollow, glowing faint blue from deep within.]
The one whom I love can only be one such as myself -- not man, and yet not dumb machine. Intelligence and ability given form. A pure, raw desire for ascent and transcendence, coupled with the power and endurance to achieve them. A disregard for the laws of man and nature, an unrestrained and untainted mind leaving behind all that would seek to conform it. Thus I summon him with both halves of this twisted whole. [She motions to the servitors, and they rise and ready their tools.]
Love is the twining of the forms, the connection of the body, desire in its most visceral and chemical. [Extending the right arm, she allows the servitor to make a swift cut near the elbow. It drips onto the platform in a puddle until the cut clots and seals itself over.]
And yet it is the combining of minds, a reflection of one mirror into the other and back to the first, an augmentation, a forever rising mutual drive to move above and beyond, as one, together. [She extends the left arm; and the second android takes her hand and extracts a small electrical part from it, laying it in the center of the pool of blood.]
And now, Gabriel Sylar, you will be mine.
[The androids drop back into their crouching bows, and the steel platform electrifies with a brilliant blue-white flash, the loud pop of the chip, the sizzling of boiling blood, and an acrid puff of smoke.
Cut video.]
