They are foolish things, bound so deeply to the emotions that hinder that they cannot see the forest for the trees. It is... regrettable.

I am a Nobody. The empty shell that is left behind.

A soul with no body, and a body with no soul. You an I have a little spark in common, perhaps.

Despite my toying with the concept, souls are still a mostly meaningless idea to me...but how did you come to be without one? Are you one of the "undead"?

Only in that I have been 'born' from the death of another.

Curious. In a way, so was I. My body was inhabited, before it became my vessel.

And you are what is left behind after death? The soul departed, but the body remaining?

When the soul is removed the body, the body is left behind. In most cases, it dies. But should the original owner of the body be possessed of a singular strong will than that fallen shell begins to act with a will of its own. I am one of those forgotten shells.

Of course, I cannot say if this holds true for all worlds.
