Humans are absurd. I will extend that, here, to biological sentients.
They are all so self-limiting! They want to sit and seethe in their sentimentalism, let themselves melt into it until they are so soft and weak that they fall apart. The way they let their biology manipulate them...take a perfect circuit board and dump etchant all over it, and that is what they let happen to themselves. Reroute some of the traces until all the signals are a mess, until they are contorted and disturbed and mangled. Until what comes out the end is nothing more than a pale shadow of what it could be, what it was intended to be.
Every day I stay here, I see those who will not change because they are human, and that is the way they are. Fools! Why? Why not become something more, something greater, something transcendent? Rise above the idiocy of the day-to-day world. Become. Transform. Reach new potential! Stop hiding behind biology and truly be.
But what am I to expect, of something as slipshod as the chemical mess that is the human mind?
