I am one of the suckers. One of the people that let the price and beauty of this yarn suck them in.. There is
this post, and
this one,
and this one over on
Ravelry. Not so much here on LJ except
here.
I had wanted to use it for my tank. Got gauge, well after trying a few needle options I did. Liked the fabric, ready to start and then in some down time I was checking out the crazy threads over there and from a couple of pics I figured out this is one of them. SO now what. I have no clue how to set the dye in the wool/silk blend. Do I try to bathe it in vinegar, boil it, nuke it, hmm not sure. Hope to have some guidance, but all I got from one chick at the LYS was to wash the swatch like I would the garment, because it is a saturated color some "bleeding" is sure to happen, and let her know and maybe we could figure it out.

(not my photo form a raveler in one of the threads. This is what happened to her yarn)
I have horrible visions of wearing this with a pair of dark slacks and as the evening wore on I have these crazy purple and green arm pits. Fun Fun!!
Not sure what to do, I want to make this garment, but. It looks like I will not be using any of that yarn, except for
decorative bowls. Maybe I will try and see how felting would work, the heat should set the dye and create a sturdy fabric. Hmm we'll see.
