Thing a day

. I went to the web site and read a little about it. It sounds pretty interesting.
I have been trying to not re-connect that is not the right word. But to get closer to the more creative, old me. I was talking to the hubby the other night about random things and remembered that I had an incredible art portfolio that was stolen three years ago. It was things I had done while in design school. I went to school for interior design and when I got out of school the only design job offer was a glorified coffee girl so into the fun filled world of CAD there I went. but I digress.
There was a project to take a photo from a magazine - black and white and to translate those color gradations into colors. instead of black use a deep green or blue, yelloe and orange for high lights etc. And another was a mixed media rendering of a glass vase. one in epncil/charcol the otherin the rendering markers. I spent hundreds of dollars to get the markers cuz I just knew I would need them. I think by now they are dead and gone.
The only creative things I do these days are the little bit of knitting/crochet, yarny stuff. Even that I just follow a pattern not so much being creative. Well in my opinion.
So it got me thinking. I have wanted to do a bit more with the 'creativity' but I don't know that I will join the group. But it may inspire me to try out some things. I want to dye yarn with kool aid. I have the yarn in the closet and the koolaid in the cupboard. I used to create crochet purse patterns. Maybe do some sketching or other stuff. I have a few paints. mabe.. we'll see.
I have a number of photos I want to post. Some will be back dated like halloween, the wool festival and my birthday - a few pics. That is another thing I need to be better with. i can tell excuses/reasons for not. but you really don't care.. anywho.
I want to get back to the creativity. Lets see how that goes.
