I was on the clapotis-knit-along site reading some posts and one of the women is just beginning her clapotis. She said you can go to my blog to see photos of how it is turning out. I clicked the link and read a little bit, saw the yarn she chose and I was interested to see what some of her links were.
The knitting game creates a scarf from 6 random balls of yarn. Read her directions for the full info, but for a crocheted version you could chain for the desired length and instead of knit and purl stitches you can use single or double crochet with the flip of a coin. Hers turned out quite nice. I may have some random bits left over from my
scrap wrap scarf. I purchased some
hand dyed wool from the same site to make my scarf and go some funky fuzzy orange yarn to make one for my mom. She happily wraps it around her neck twice to head off to work on cold mornings.
Today is one of those days when I would much rather wander through yarn stores (nope didn't make it on the lunch break). Leaf through pattern books, or as noted in today's previous post, sort through all of the yarn I already have and determine if those are projects I will complete (or hey make a funky scarf out of now if I can find a dice and a coin). As you can tell it is one of THOSE days when I don't want to be at work. Oh well. The conference call is going on so now I can sneak and knit, bad very bad to do, but I am beyond not in the mood for work. It is one of THOSE days.
