Something about Final Crisis worries me now.

There is this new interview with Grant Morrison. Well, and he talks about Final Crisis, mostly things we already heard and then there is this...

"Supergirl and Mary Marvel are in it. They have a big climatic battle to decide how femininity should be portrayed in superhero comics!"

OH MORRISON, NO! That's like having a fight between Mandingo and the Golliwog to decide how black people should be portrayed! It's Alien vs Predator; if any of them win, WE ALL LOSE!

Really, what the heck. I trust Morrison will write Supergirl differently from her worst appearances (I hope), but it's still a scary thing to say.

Anyway, here are other interesting tidbits from the interview:

"But people tend to think about the New Gods AS superheroes these days. And even I've done it myself in 'JLA' where they're just these guys with a bit of extra power, who have a bit more snarl and crackle on their faces. But they've never really been treated AS gods with all the implications of that."

*COUGH* *COUGH*

"Everybody is in it. In addition to the big guys, the third issue has Captain Marvel Jr., Supergirl, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Green Arrow and Black Canary. It's got everyone. Pretty well from #4 to #7 is one big battle royale. I want to leave lots of room for the fight. There's about ten issues worth of fighting," said Morrison. "If you've got a favorite character, I am sure he's in it."

That's not exactly a list of obscure characters. Poo, I bet I am not in it. So while everyone is punching Darkseid, it's gonna be me again with the Supermen of America and Night Force fighting Crazy Quilt. But I hate the Supermen of America! I'll tell them I got sick or something. So it's just gonna be me, a bottle of whiskey and the DVDs of Battlestar Galactica. No, darn, the DVD is broken again. Okay, so it's me, whiskey and... that's about it. Damn... :(
