No time for full entry heres an email i sent home plus added bits.
Hi Marie, am OK didnt get upset like i thought i would but did get worried because i had minimal time to make it to the plane once through. I sat next to a really nice girl on the plane which was good. met takae (said like tak ay) and then went with Roshan to the house. The house is cool but hectic because i literally was there for 40 minutes before going into colombo to go to the beach. the bus queue was huge so went to pizza hut (i know first meal is bad) then we waited in total for 5hours for a bus. once on i was so tired but then after that and tuk tuk we arrived and some how found the energy to go clubbing which was good. the group are really cool and i get on with all of them. theres like 30 so havent really talked to everyone. second day went to una watuna like a beach resort and had fun there before going out again! It has been so manic. Food at the house is cool mainly dahl but its OK. have been bitten alive and have been using mozzie nets. Am a bit worrierd about April because i havent found anyone available i am thinking about asking about doing the Zoo for a week or 2 because everyone there says its cool. I am wanting to maybe after may go to China, they do a teaching thing there in Shang Hai and i thought it looked cool. Can you guys check with Travellers and my money and see if i can afford it? Teaching is so not what i expected you find out on the morning which school you are at and then when there what age you are teaching. Also the schools dont seem to want or need us we seem to get in the way. Also the children are so not eager to learn they are manic and so hard to gain control of. Thats why i want to look at another country because people are getting very fed up with the teaching but i am trying to keep an open mind.

well the people here are great and 3 are going to my uni. i was so jet lagged when i went clubbing i got drunk very quickly but no gobby drunk just tired. The children in the schools are total fuckers. i went to bed and everyone in my room was asleep so i turned off the light out of respect but then misjudged where my bed was adn fell on the floor. People here are really great and i have settled in so well. am not feeling homesick but it will kick in soon.
No time as limit is running out. am getting a sim card on wednesday adn can text for quite cheap so i need phone numbers. Bye Bye Ciaran
