iTunes won't open because it has 'detected a problem with my audio configuration'. WTF.
Okay, so major correction: neither the exco nor Ichi Daiko are playing at TGIF because the coordinators completely lied to us. HOWEVER, both groups will be playing at 7:30 in the Environmental Science Center. Harrick hall? Hirlick? Something like that. In any case, it will be awesome, and even if you don't come to see me, you should come to see Ichi Daiko because they fucking rock my pants off. (Today we got the bachi we ordered before the break. They're made of white oak, much heavier than the ones we've been using, and they're so finely sanded they kept sliding out of my hands while I played. They have a wonderful cool weight to them, like quartz.)
I finished the first book of Barefoot Gen today. It's so bizarre. It feels like there's something I'm missing, not an overarching theme, but some small detail of Japanese custom that is preventing me from fully understanding the ins and outs of interaction.
