Enter Clownette

Time: Night
Location: One of the streets approaching the circus.

That night, there was a clown stalking a little girl.

Now, that’s not as sinister as it may sound. The clown was Squeakles, and her intent was not malicious- at least, not for the moment. No, the little girl had simply caught her eye- to be specific, the little girl’s pigtails had caught ( Read more... )

Her merry way was about to lose some of its merry. That lollipop had captured more than one clown's attention tonight. Beneath a brightly painted trailer, Creepy lay hidden, his watchful eye fastened on Squeakles and her hard earned prize. He'd seen everything leading up to this moment including the stalking, the theft, and the post-theft victory "dance".

The child victim in all of this was left with tears streaming down her face, pouting furiously, and generally looking as though she could rip the head off a bunny. Or in this case a clown. But she soon took to running and screaming as Creepy emerged from the darkness nearby. Now it was Squeakles' turn to be stalked.

Sticking close to the shadows, the clown demon crept up behind his candy-toting target and tailed her at fairly close range. However, if she were to turn around for any reason, he would quickly vanish.

Squeakles didn't even notice- how could she, when there were so many fun things around to distract her? First, of course, she paid attention to her lollipop. Then she saw a dog, and suddenly she found herself in a quandary.

She really, really wanted to get down on all fours, waggle her tail (or lack thereof), bark, and go make friends with that dog. But... the lollipop. She'd worked so hard to get it, and she loved it so, so much that she couldn't just drop it!

What to do, what to do- so many difficult decisions.

With a huff, Squeakles plopped down in the road on her backside, staring at the lollipop with an exaggerated extension of her lower lip. Well, if she couldn't drop it, she'd just have to hold it. And since she couldn't hold it in her hand while she crawled around, she'd have to hold it in her mouth. Really, it was quite obvious ( ... )

Unbeknownst to his victim, Creepy watched from behind a popcorn machine decorated with balloons as she attempted to cram the novelty-sized lollipop into her mouth. Though it obviously wasn't going to happen, she seemed determined to thwart common sense. Even if she managed to succeed, she wouldn't be the first clown here to achieve the impossible for the sake of a sweet-tooth ( ... )
