Happy New Year!

It was a very good week. Christmas Eve, Joe and I went through the Gift of Lights, then dinner, then Ethel M's Cactus Garden, which is wrapped in Christmas lights. It was nice, even though it was rainy and wet. I gave him his presents in the morning, he was thrilled with his bathrobe that actually went all the way to his wrists and his knees. :) He liked the sushiware as well, but not as much as the bathrobe, I think. My gift is help with my airfare to Vienna.

Did dinner with the family, low-key but nice. Still have leftovers.

Went to the hospital the Friday afterwards to get my wrist checked out, just a sprain, no biggie.

Was out Saturday night and Sunday night, but not late either night, but didn't re-connect with Joe either. Left Monday morning for Chicago, hung out with Beknatok and Kate at Hugo's Frog Bar and had delicious Key Lime martinis. Yum!!

Toni picked me up the next day, got to hang with her and Avery, play Wii and gossip.

Wednesday we went to Meg's to chat, I stayed for a New Year's celebration with Sue and Audrey, who I hadn't seen in about 3 years. We toasted the new year and played cheap-ass games. It was a good time.

Thursday we just chilled and read books. I gave Meg my cold, poor girl!

Friday, Jason has a concert so I went to Kat's and then the concert, which was great. It was good to see Kat, Jason and James, and play with the kids and the snake. (My cousin and her family).

Saturday met up with my brother and his wife and their baby. Had yummy Indo-pak food, talked a lot, played with the baby some. Sunday went shopping for an Indian outfit for any celebrations that her family will have, then quick to the airport and back to Vegas.

Work was recovery from the week, not too much, mostly reading newspapers for articles on us, actually went to the gym afterwards! The Verizon store isn't far, and I had to see what opportunities they had for international calling. I'd have to rent a phone, that's just silly. I have an international phone! I just have to find the charger for it.

family, new year's eve, chicago, travel, work, christmas
