The idea was taken from the special events thread at the anon meme. If you want to play along all you have to do is step up and request a sample. You'll get your drink plus two random side effects for your character to experience over... uh, haven't really thought about how long, I guess two or three days or as long as you want, really.
I'm giving you two effects so you can pick one or use both (for example if one of them is not enough for you / too close to your character's usual behaviour). Interpret them however you like, e.g. there's actually a DEATH side effect, so if you get that I guess you could be close to dying all the time, turn into a ghost, a ~mysterious voice from beyond~ or... whatever, really.
Start your side effect right away or develop it slowly in other threads, it's all up to you anyway.
(For everyone who is curious, I posted a list of "available side effects" on my journal.)
OOC EDIT: Also if you really don't like either of your choices you can request a second hit, but after that YOU'VE GOT TO BE A MAN AND DEAL WITH WHAT YOU'VE GOT.
