A rough day in Atlantic County
We had several large fatal accidents here today.
Eight high school football players were traveling in a Ford Explorer as part of a football team caravan to a restaurant after practice. One vehicle left the roadway killing 4 and injuring the other 4. The driver was 17 years old which made it illegal for him to have any more than 1 passenger in the vehicle. A very tragic accident which is going to get very ugly legally as pain turns to anger.
Another 2 children died when a Hummer and a Ford Taurus station wagon collided at the entrance to Atlantic City. 8 people were in the station wagon.
2 small planes collided while practicing air tricks at the western side of our county. One pilot survived.
I can not imagine trying to go on with life if your child died. I know it happens everyday but it doesn't make the thought any easier to process.
Tonight my grandmother and I shared the first sign that fall is coming.....
