Being a loyal friend.

It's been awhile. I've been thinking about what makes a meaningful friendships, especially in an age when hearing from a friend once a year actually means you're doing the best you can. I'm wondering about friendship loyalty. I have made it a pretty straightforward rule to really dislike people who aren't good to my friends. However, although this rule seems pretty hard, fast, and obvious, it gets tricky quickly. What about when friends forgive these people? What about the people your friends dislike for very convoluted reasons? What if they're other friends? Although it seems like I probably should have sorted this out at four rather than twenty four, I still have issues with this. And it probably comes down to just making wise decisions and staying out of stupid shit.

Ah, if only that was as simple as it sounded.
