Tootally Awesome
So i figured if Don was going to post I should as well. Heres a break down of whats been happening with me lately.
-Fred is Dead is rocking the hizzle. We have about 8 new songs (16 total with more being worked on as we speak) including two that I have co-written with mike and we getting a decent amount of gigs. Mostly open mics and bars but things are progressing and we are making a lot of contacts. Last night we had our biggest show so far at the North Star Bar in Philly which is a pretty sweet venue that actually pulled a good crowd out last night for our show. We played with 4 other bands none of which I can remember their names but it was sweet. Half hour set which we rocked sold some cds and changed the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere. Also I got us hooked up with Jerseyshows.com and they are putting on a monster BOTB which we are playing in. They do it in a ton of cities around our area and naturally we are playing in Philly. 25 percent of the voting is based off ticket sales and if we sell 50 tickets we get a free video shoot which would be interesting. We also have an agent now in our friend Oscar who is frickin hardcore. He looks unassuming but walks around with a notepad out constantly scribbling ideas down about getting us more gigs and exposure which include getting us on the radio and advertising on facebook which apparently we can do for pretty cheap. So we are rocking the casbah I guess.
-I'm back in the retail game working at Circuit City which is fine. The people I work with are cool and its pretty laid back compared to Best Buy which is good in my book especially since I'm not on commission. Whats putting my soul in peril is the fact that I work with incredibly attractive high schoolers at night and they are incredibly flirtatious. Not necessarily a bad thing but they are all 17 and I am a.) not going to jail and b.) not getting fired over some damn high schooler who is coming on to me. Other than that work is good.
-Other than that not much is going on as those two things consume most of my time. Me and my roommates have a MarioKart 64 version of a Nascar points race which I won the 2nd title and am in the middle of a title defense right now. Also we brewed beer and it came out better than I expected. Kind of a pale ale and its a little too sugary for my tastes but its better than natty. Thats kind of it. I will be home from the 24th to the 28th and will be available pretty much every day except xmas. Good luck to you who have exams and may the force be with you.
