At my Tuesday appointment I was 4cm dilated and 80% effaced. They didn't want to let me go home because my blood pressure was high, and were trying to get me to let them strip my membranes. Stripping the membranes is when the doctor inserts their fingers between the amniotic sac and your uterine wall and breaks the adhesion between them. Yeah, ow. I had some bloodwork done, and I was told that if the results came back leaning towards pre-eclampsia I'd have to come back in that night and deliver. My test results were fine, but I've got an appointment to go in and have my blood pressure checked in an hour and a half. I'm not swelling, but if my blood pressure is high or I've got protein in my urine I've got to deliver. Blah. I'm ready for him to be here, but I really don't want to be induced. Today might be the day.
