I'm back in america, dunno how I feel about it yet, I'm kinda jet lagged, stuck wide awake at late hours. Yesterday I went to Osaka, which is a roughly 2 hour train ride from Hikone, where I live. It's actually my first trip out of Hikone, which is sortof sad, but I don't have the money to go away too often sadly... So yesterday I went to Hikone castle after my classes... which were pretty long... I have 3 hours of japanese, and then 3 hours of "management of technology and innovation in japan" which, while it seems like an interesting class, I wish it was split up between other day s of the week, I mean the teacher doesn't even teach anything else... there ( Read more... )

So, I'm stuck sitting around the the dorm thanks to in-climate weather. I'm told a tai-fun is headed our way, sounds fun, but the winds are bloody crazy. Other than that I'm glad that it cooled down a bit. So... Day 3... I finally went out and bought some bolt cutters, so I can finally take a shower, and it was a pretty pleasant shower I must say. The bolt cutters put me back 2000 yen... which sucked quite a bit... but ahh well... I guess I have some bolt cutters now... not that I'll ever use them again...I hope. So theSo the plane ride was 13 hours, then the train ride from osaka to hikone was 2 hours, and then I had to take a taxi from the train station to the dorms....
