I am not going to do a long and proper review because I feel it should be watched and not described.
It is the tale of the trials and tribulations of not only Bishop Gene Robinson but also his partner of twenty five years, Mark. Their love story is beautiful and yet his faith and love in his God is strong and equally loving and beautiful. His resilience against opposition is hard on him and he couldn't get all the B.S. thrown at him without the love and support of Mark, his life partner.
I cried, I got upset, and you probably will as well. Yet Bishop Robinson is a holy man that I wish others in the clergy would listen to.
I know this is short, but this is just one of those GREAT documentaries that the less you know, the more you will enjoy. I'm an ATHEIST who would listen to a sermon given by Bishop Gene Robinson...because at the end of the day, he and I have the same agenda. love. Love. LOVE.
I hope you all get the chance to see what this trail-blazer has gone through so that hopefully others will be able to follow his amazing path with less agony, evil, pain, and horrible people threatening them. He is brave, sweet, kind, and everything the 'church' he is a part of is NOT... not yet anyway.
