RE-ENTRY

The earth looms close, bright and burning:
Before I realize, I am through
the atmosphere.
The air flames about me:
In another moment, my dizzy feet
touch solid ground.
Voices clamor round me; endless noise
Assaults my ears. I wish
For the quiet peace behind me--

Tears run down my face.
I am weeping
in the shock
of re-entry.

Well, in about 11 hours I'll be leaving for Maui. =) Absolutely computerless (yes!), so I won't be answering email or ANYTHING. So, talk to you in a week!
