Happy Turkey Day to all my Canadian flisters. We had our thanksgiving dinner tonight and OMG it was so good. Mom BBQ the turkey with a ginger, honey, soy sauce basting. My parents are helping organise a Vimy Ridge Tea at the Legion. So, here I am in my basement with my computer scanning slides. This was where my Dad did his Peacekeeping when I was 12(1978). He was gone for 6 months. One thing that was funny was he ran into his best friend from PEI (when he was posted there in the late 60's early 70's). They hadn't seen each other since Dad's transfer in 1973. I went over to my Mom's today cause she has been having computer issues. She has one of the old computers from my office and it is fairly ancient, but it at least has XP on it. I just received an e-mail from my Mom. My cousin is dying of breast cancer and is in her final days. She is 9 hours drive from here and I can't afford plane tickets.
