Cook was in the office, door half open but headphones on and plugged into his electric guitair. He was noodling with this bit of bridge that was driving him crazy. He tried it fast, tried it slow but nothing seemed to come out in the right way. His fingers slid up and down the guitar, trying to see if a noise would catch him.
A small hand wrapped it’s way onto his fingers and he blinked when he saw familiar eyes staring up at him with a face splitting grin.
He put his headphones onto his shoulder. “What’s up Ladie?”
“Daddy, you gotta see this. Gotta,” she tugged at his fingers. This was the moment where he should remind his daughter that the office was working space but she looked so damn happy and was buzzing like Archie did when he was really excited. So essentially he was doomed for all eternity, forever to be wrapped around his daughter’s fingers. This time literally.
He lifted his guitar off his lap, unhooked the straps and wires and laid it gently into its nook.
