but it's really all about the very genuine chemistry between Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford.
Without that, the show would not have nearly as much of my attention. I do think the show needs to grow and develop more and I do have faith it will. But for now, the banter alone keeps me entertained.
how can Gale Harold be so scorching on Queer as Folk and so...not, in this?
I'm convinced it's the suit. And the haircut. The whole show, in general, felt very...miscast. Especially Ming Na as a cop. I didn't buy a moment of that. The main appeal of "Kidnapped" is Jeremy Sisto, but I also have had a longtime crush on Tim Hutton since my days of being obsessed with "Ordinary People". I'm not sure how much I'll love this plot for more than one season, let alone one. THat's my one concern.
I do find Heroes to be appealing, but I also find it to be so...much, if that makes sense. Granted, this is just the pilot and it has to be somewhat overwrought. I definitely want to see Greg Grunberg, so i at least have to stick around for the next episode.
House has been alright for me this season. I know a lot of people have not liked it much, but it's been the same level for me. My one wish was that they had kept the healthy leg story for longer.
Brothers and Sisters... Despite my love of Rachel Griffiths, the show grated. It felt very gimicky and the emotions on the forced side.
I love Jeremy Sisto's intensity - he was a favorite of mine on Six Feet Under, and he's very believable in this role. But it's great to see Tim Hutton again.
I think Jerry was right (above) when he said Heroes would have benefited from a 2 hour pilot - like Lost had a couple of years ago. It's hard to introduce all those characters in 1 hour and have it not seem too much. That said, they did a good job, considering.
