My DVR is 68% full and I have a stack of DVDs that are waiting to be watched. It's pretty sad when you start to feel pressured to watch more TV. *g*
What I have managed to see:
Note: I have only seen through the finale of S4 24, so please don't spoil me beyond that.
I am so in love with this show. Jerry was right - it just keeps getting better, and this was my favorite season so far. I adore so many of the characters. Jack is so pretty and damaged. Tony and Michelle are one of my favorite TV couples. And Chloe, how I adore thee. I even liked Bill ("Chloe, I don't have time for your personality disorder." Hee!). And of course, David Palmer is the President we all wish we had.
Plus - no Kim! :-D
We blew through the entire season in several days. The only bad thing? I hear Season 5 won't be out on DVD till December? Say it isn't so! I may have to resort to nefarious methods...
I love this show. I almost always enjoy Sorkin's writing anyway, but it's really all about the very genuine chemistry between Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford. The other characters need to be fleshed out more, of course - but this was only the second episode. And I have always been a fan of Timothy Busfield. Amanda Peet doesn't even bother me, so there's no bad there so far.
Between "Vanished" and "Kidnapped", "Kidnapped" has won, though I'm not wildly excited about it. I nixed "Vanished" after the first viewing - how can Gale Harold be so scorching on Queer as Folk and so...not, in this? "Kidnapped" just hangs together much better, and I like Jeremy Sisto, Timothy Hutton and Dana Delaney. The kidnapped kid seems smart and appealing, which I think will be key since this one story is a season-long arc, apparently. I liked it enough to give it another shot, at least.
I loved "Heroes!" The different story lines were a little confusing in the pilot, but that's to be expected when introducing multiple characters in an ensemble show like this, I think. Somehow, I completely missed the fact that Adrian Pasdar (Profit!) was in this, so that was a nice surprise - as was the fact that he turned out to be the flyer. (I know some people guessed that early on - I'm afraid I did not. *g*). My favorite character was actually Claire, the cheerleader. A rather serious, un-perky cheerleader, it seems. Thank God. I liked the part where she promised her geeky cameraman that she would talk to him at school the next day. Ah, high school. The fact that her "father" is a bad guy was not surprising, but still looks promising, story-wise. :-) I am very much looking forward to next week's episode (and Greg Grunberg!).
I also loved this week's "House," after being a little disappointed with the last couple of episodes. I laughed out loud, and loudly, several times.
And I still have "Brothers and Sisters" on the DVR - has anyone watched it? Is it any good?
