Daily Insight with Kasja (this has nothing to do with me i promise. i am just working on my journalistic skills)

&&When you look at a garden,
do you look at the thorns or the flowers?

How true is that? I mean think about it, when you first meet someone, do you think about a person's flaws or the good things about them at first glance? When you first meet do you think... wow she/he looks kinda ugly, she/he is really quiet, she/he has no depth to them. Or do you think hey there is probably so much I don't know about them. First appearances can be so decieving. Heresay can make you think one way about someone and then they can be totally different. We have become so accustomed to get what we want when we want and how we want. We want to meet cookie cutter people. Pretty, nice, do exactly what they want. But everyone is not like them. Many people are rough around the edges and need people to help smooth them out, not give up on them. Some people may seem like jerks or annoying on the outside, but maybe they are just using that as a decoy. We think we have so muchh time and that if we meet someone and they don't look like the type of person we want to meet, we think that there will be plenty of others, so we can just ditch this one. Well those people are sick of being passed on for something better. When you go through you peak high school years being second best to something that can mess up their future. So next time you meet someone, or maybe you already know them and you have just been judging them the whole time, think about how much more that means to them...

Hasta Luego Muchachos and Muchachas,
Kasja
