Budget Woes
Well, it's official - we're in a budget crisis (link)"Unclassified and unrepresented employees will not receive salary increases in the next fiscal year. While the university’s generous healthcare program remains largely intact, UC may move to a self-funded system. Employee contributions for premiums and co-pays may rise, and some benefit levels may change. (While many of these changes will affect unrepresented staff immediately, long-term financial stability requires that this budget plan inform the bargaining process for represented employees going forward.) A balanced budget will require administrative reorganization and a smaller workforce. This reduction of personnel will include a retirement-incentive program for staff in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System."
