Someplace to Go

Last night's fun was the annual PFLAG scholarship banquet. Nothing new to report from this year's event, other than a dwindling number of people from the CMC crowd.

The dinner is $40 a head but it's nice to have an opportunity to dress up and see the A-gays. New Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory made a brief appearance. He didn't say much but was well received.

We also got a heads-up that City Council will be voting this week on whether to add sexual orientation to the city's nondiscrimination clause. That measure is what sparked the adoption of Article 12 in 1993, so it'll be interesting to see CCV's reaction if it is approved.

In true Cher Horowitz style, I had to take a photo of myself rather than trusting the mirror. Don't even bother saying it - I know what you're thinking.

I've been aggressively wearing the pink additions to my wardrobe lately. Mostly they've gone over well. I never claimed to know anything about fashion, but I generally know what I feel comfortable in versus what doesn't (as opposed to what looks good on me). This surprised me. Then again, I'm very much a product of my city - years behind the times.
