this is halloween this is halloween....
Oh how I want to watch "Nightmare Before Christmas"... Lets update on things. Midterms are OVER! Though i only had two, so why am I so relieved? Heh. And the two werent horribly bad. I think I did okay. I've had a monster sinus infection plagued by serious headaches, so I go to the Farmacia and get some italian version of advil.... bad idea. I guess I dont work with that medicine. It caused 3 nosebleeds in 24 hours. Not cool.. And ruined a pair of jeans from sudden nasal gushing of blood. Really gross, i know. So yesterday was my last day of classes before midterm break. Mom will be here on Sunday, so I'm all excited. I need to go to the grocery hardcore. I went to make mashed potatoes the other night and as I was boiling the potatoes 2 WORMS surfaced. Grossest thing ever. No more potatoes while I'm here. So I pitched that stuff and went down the street for a gelato dinner. Hehe.
I got a super long email from Cyndi, which was good. Shes keeping me filled on about stuff happening at the Art Academy. I got my scheduling done for Spring Semester. Looks like there isnt going to be a lot of time for working. I'll have classes 5 days a week, but no terribly long days. Then this summer I have to do a museum internship. I think I'm going to do a childrens program at the Taft or the CAC. Not too worried about it though. I'm kinda anxious to see how things go when I get home. I'm slowly watching myself change here.
Last night Michelle came home with me cuz Andrea and Ryann were going to cook for us all. So we all had chicken, pasta, and chianti...13% alcohol chianti. And many glasses of it. Andrea's boytoy Angelo came over. Then we all decided to go meet Kirsten and Kris at the Shot Caffe and drag Jerod along. So we go there and they're playing all Beatles! It was great! Hehe. Minus the shady men there and the 15 year old surfer boys from Australia...too bad they were 15. We didnt drink there, since Kris and Kirsten had already been there for a while. So then we decide we want to dance and head to Astor, which is mad expensive on drinks, but the downstairs is kinda fun....except there were only a few people there when we got there sitting on the couches. So we requested some things from the DJ and made our own party. I got a few Screwdrivers, so I was feeling good. Jerod got bored and left, and soon after a crowd of people came in and it was all creepy men and hos. So Kris, Kirsten and I hit up Andromeda for like 20 minutes before going home exhausted. It was a good night though. I hadnt laughed like that in a long time. Between Andrea trying to translate what Angelo was saying to us in absolutely horrrible translations, "umm...well, i only got 3 words out of that, sorry. Repeto Angelo, per favore". It was great. We were talking about Angelo's toothless friend Irving... Angelo speaks a little broken english so he tells us that "When he sleeps at night he loses his teeth"... so we were all confused. But after many tries we finally found out he had dentures! This guys only like 24. Heh. Apparently Ryann thought this guy was cute and went on a date with him but he didnt wear his dentures so he had no teeth and she was all like "hell no". Shes a character.
So I sleep in this morning. Jerod pulls a bike out of his room?. I drink some OJ, realize I have no food to eat for meal. And then decide to come here and check my email and delay grocery shopping. So thats how things have been going. Oh and Lorenzo my painting teacher decided that he's going to take our class of 10 out to a bar every other week to just talk and discuss different issues because apparently he's not used to having such a diverse and small class so we can do special things. Fun stuff!
