"Va bene."

Let me try this again. My first update got lost somehow because Livejournal hates me. So anywho... Friday night wasnt so fun, but Saturday night was pretty great. Kiersten calls Andrea's phone to ask her to go out, but she was going to hang with Angelo (piece of crap, him, not her). So she hands the phone to me. Apparently Kiersten's friend Lori wanted to go try to find some more Italian places to hang out that didnt have so many American students there. I wasnt really that thrilled or wanting to go out, but I got dressed up anyway and off I went. I met Kiersten at her apartment where Michelle and Kris were recovering from drinking too much on Friday. So Kiersten and I hike over to Santa Croce where Lori's apartment is. I didnt realize that I knew Lori...I dont remember people's names very well. So out comes Lori, followed by her obnoxious roommate and her 2 friends. We went to The William, which was supposed to be cool, but instead we found it was infested by high schoolers, so we nixed that idea. Obnoxious roommates and friends went off to their usual Americanized hang out and so Lori, Kiersten, and I went off on an adventure to find a new place. We ended up way down the river and around some military walled-compound. It was crazy. Kiersten apparently sucks at directions. But eventually we found Zoe. Zoe is a super-trendy place in the utmost sense. Its a bar with dim lighting, and people overflowing onto the sidewalk. The DJ is playing this lounge-ish techno and the walls are painted red and have modern painting hung on them. The standing bars along the wall are all stainless steel and the furniture is all modernized not so comfortable, but looks good stuff. So as we make our way through the people dressed in all black designer clothes, we get in and look at the menu, which surprisingly had all these awesome American cocktails. We ordered some super yummy strawberry daiquiris and found a sitting table in the back. It was such a crazy place, but we felt cooler being there. Hehe. We were there for about an hour, then set off for somewhere to dance. We went to Andromeda, which was also really cool. They played a lot of typical dance place music like Sean Paul and Shakira, but also had some crazy Italian dance music. And there were these guys in full worksuits dancing around on these raised blocks. The dance floor was pretty small, but it was fun. The only weird part was the the floor was like a stage with seating all around where the creepy Italian guys just sat and watched you dance. Kind of exposing and weird at first, but then I ignored it. There were lots of overly pushy and touchy-feely guys there, so we had to keep reinforcing our little triangle. Apparently guys think the way to introduce themselves is to come and kiss you on the neck...yeah, that doesnt fly with Americans. Heh, once we had turned away a few guys, they started to get the hint. We decided we need shirts that say "we just came here to dance...not mate" on them. Lol. So that was fun. But yesterday, Sunday, I was super sick and stayed in bed all day. It was pathetic. I feel a little better today, but now I'm wondering if I'm getting shingles again. Argh. It never ends. I think i'm just becoming a hypochondriac. Heh. Oh well. Va bene. Well, I'll update more later. This week is mid-terms, then my mom will be here. Yay!
