I may be just a little too addicted to RicStar at the moment. Dios, this is practically what happened the last time I got obsessed with Marvel comics. Still, they're sooo cute <3
I really, really want to get a Nintendo 3DS. Really I'm just holding off 'cause I need to save money, but oh man so many games! I mean like right now in Japan you have Kingdom Hearts 3D just out, a new Fire Emblem game in the next month (omg, I didn't even know that until yesterday!). Ocarina of Time of course is out (which I'd love if only for the graphics, because I have the GameCube port, but dammit I want my Zelda to look pretty!), Kid Icarus:Uprising looks intriguing, also I'm pretty sure Tales of the Abyss was rereleased on it which considering fandom for that story took up nearly a year of my life, I ought owe myself the duty to play it (I blame the anime adaption..).
Watched the first two episodes of Legend of Korra online over the weekend. OMG, so in love already with this show! I mean, no surprise really, being Avatar and all. But no really, it's like the wonderful lovechild of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Baccano! AtLA, for obvious reasons, and Baccano! because the whole setting of Republic City has old-timey cars, radios, and fedoras with upbeat jazzy music. Oh, the music... <3 How I love the music <3. Also, Korra is a badass and rides a polar bear-dog.
Huh, never did my Hunger Games movie review? I get distracted by ricstar... Well, all in all, really enjoyed the movie. Thought it was a wonderful adaption, and I was so happy that the producers really chose to focus on those elements of the story that are most important. (meaning lesser filmmakers might have played up either the violence or the romance, but they really didn't. Much the opposite. Really appreciate that.) Cast was fantastic, very well acted. Jennifer Lawrence deserves all the praise. (After watching Winter's Bone on Netflix a month back, in which she plays an incredibly similar role, wouldn't have expected less.) Bring on Catching Fire!
