Christmas meme
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? wrapping paper 99% of the time, though I occasionally try to use gift bgs just to re-use the ones I have stashed in the closet.
2. Real tree or Artificial? artificial - we always had a real tree growing up, and someone was always sick at Christmas. We finally figured out that some or all of us were allergic to the Christmas tree. Artificial is much more pleasant as a result.
3. When do you put up the tree? sometime after Thanksgiving. I'd like to get it up a few days after Thanksgiving, but this year I'm sick so not terribly motivated. It has to be up by Dec. 13 this year, though, since we're hosting a party then.
4. When do you take the tree down? sometime after the 12th day of Christmas.
5. Do you like eggnog? I've never gotten brave enough to try it.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? probably the My Little Pony Show Stable, or Strawberry Shortcake Gazebo.
7. Hardest person to buy for? my husband
8. Easiest person to buy for? Corwin
9. Do you have a nativity scene? nope
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I try to mail them, but I only seem to manage it every other year or so.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? can't think of anything really horrible off the top of my head, so whatever it was wasn't bad enough to make an impression
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? don't really have one
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? whenever I stumble across something that strikes me as perfect for someone that I usually shop for. :)
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? i don't think so
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Harry & David chocolate truffles, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and Spritz cookies

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? we head to Austin for Christmas on one of the weekends in December before Christmas, spend Christmas Eve at home as a family, and head up to Andrew's parents' house on Christmas Day for family Christmas with his side of the family.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Christmas advertising and store decor that begins before Halloween.
