Potty training update
Corwin just had his first real poop in the potty!!!! :) He has a couple of times in the past pooped a small rock, but more has always followed afterwards once his diaper was on. This time was sheer luck, actually, but I'll take what I can get. We'd gone to the potty before nap time and he peed but then as I was refolding the towel to hang it back up after drying his hands I glanced down at him and he was standing there making his poopy face. So I plopped him back on the potty and out it came! :) I hope I managed to make a suitable fuss about it so that he'll be inclined to do it again, maybe with a little more warning next time?
I'm actually really surprised at how quickly his potty training has been progressing. He's been dry all day so far, and the only diapers I changed yesterday were poopy ones. He did frustrate me yesterday by TWICE pooping in his diaper within 10 minutes after going to the potty. I'm not quite sure how to combat that one, other than trying to be more consistent about remembering to ask him to try to poop while he's on the potty each time. I've done that today, though, and thus far it hasn't seemed to make much difference (I'd asked him to try before the poop happened today, and got a little fart but nothing more).
I reported events to Andrew, and he said "Omg.....we're so parents! *snicker*" We totally are. *sigh* :)
