I'm not handling being home with my son very well today. I think it's partly due to still being grumpy at him from last night when he refused to go to sleep in his pack and play at Bob & Nancy's after I spent over an hour trying to get him to do so. He'd be quiet and somewhat still if I was in there with my hand on him, but it hurt my back to bend over to keep a hand on him for very long. My presence in the room wasn't good enough, though...he had to be being touched. So we came home and put him to bed here. It was around 9:00 when I got him to bed. And he went right to sleep, without fighting it at all.
Anyone have any ideas on why he sleeps fine at home, but refuses to sleep anywhere else until he is just so tired that he CAN'T stay awake any longer?
Another thing I'd like to know is why he wakes up at 6:30 in the morning like clockwork regardless of what time he went to bed the night before (7:30 or 11:00, he still wakes up at 6:30 or very close to it). I tried getting him to snuggle with me in our bed this morning, and he wanted nothing to do with it. If he wasn't either standing or nursing, he was crying.
Okie, got him down for a nap now, so I'm gonna go take a nap also and see if I can't be less grumpy when we wake up. I've been yelling at Corwin this morning because he's so fussy, and I'm sure he's fussier because I've been yelling at him. It's a wonderful self-perpetuating cycle.
corwin,
