i did alot of researching but all i found was tons of modern-ish sculpture thats super geometric.. and modern looking. Which isn't quite my thing, haha. So i went back to all of my favourites -Klimt, petah coyne, and rodin, and i'm hoping to be able to synthesise those into something, but i'm still looking out for other possible references as well. I still haven't figured out what exactly it is that i want this work to be, so i'm working on that as well... in the mean time i'm going through images of photos of my favourite places (hanayashiki, ghibli museum), and asian architecture. @___@ - i REALLY want to go buy a thicker klimt book, and a petah coyne book as well, lol it feels like i have found my art loves or something egad now i can sort of understand how mr chia is all GERHARD RICHTER because honestly now i am all GUSTAV KLIMT

modern sculpture certainly doesn't suit your image XD i'm glad you have quite the resource of first-hand experiences with sculptures you like as well as the ability to source out inspirations! i'm sure you'll be able to come up with something, no worries! keep drawing, my lovely! even though it's not directly related, i think it helps in visualising. ganba with observational drawings, i think it's definitely a start!

i'm totally with you about the blank slate orz just giving you a space isn't enough to materialise an image @___@ it's really huge challenge, GANBA BB!! just keep in mind that as long as you're not stagnating, everything is okay! i'm glad you have plans for yourself and you seem to be advancing on your own without any guidance very well ^ ^
