so stupid in love

All good things come to an end - my exco handed over Japanese Club to our juniors just this Wednesday. It wasn't that emotional, since there's still J2 Farewell to come after our common tests in June, but still. It's definitely a load off my mind because there would be less time involved for preparation and organising club sessions but... our five-way exco discussions, grocery shopping multiple times at Daiso and various shops in the neighbourhood for cheap preparation supplies and definitely outwalking several kilometres of shopping mall last year, chilling out for three hours or more each Wednesday after school with the club... how long will it take for me to get used to this subtle loss? This sentimental moment will surely pass when the workload intensifies even more as we approach the climax (177 more days to A-levels, gais o(´^`)o!). Will I forget it then?

The time with RJCC was amazing. It was my first time getting together with a group of schoolmates who actually shared very similar interests with me (something I could scarcely find in my secondary school), and also my first time holding a leadership position. Becoming the chair of RJCC really shaped me into becoming a stronger person, and I found myself actually brimming with confidence several times before holding sessions this year. Contrasted with the me who was terrified of public speaking just early last year, this is a huge improvement. I don't know how much I've managed to make a difference for the club, but I know the club definitely made a difference for me. That, I largely have my exco to thank. ♥ To the times we've bore our hearts to each other in the library and had mini conflicts and faced our fears together - let's not leave them behind even after we've stepped down. For all the unconditional support they've always offered me, which I sometimes question if I really deserve... guys, I'll miss you so much. TT v TT

Watched Macbeth (Shakespeare in the Park) yesterday! If you've never sat in the rain wielding a small umbrella, tight on space from sharing mats with friends, and watched a play at night, in the park, drunk on raindrops, you should definitely try it one day. It's a mind-blowing experience - especially if the play is at the brink with hallucinations, witchcraft and more. The Weird Sisters were amazing, and when Banquo "rose from the dead", clothes stained with blood from murder, crawling on the dining table where wine glasses and exquisite silverware were set... it was surreal. It really stood out to me and I really feel like I need to get it out of my system by drawing the scene out... if I have the time. The set, stunning transitions between the acts and the players were wonderful - the play was a mixture of clever impromptu and yet very accurate rendition of the original play tl;dr ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. * A *
Wish I could go for the Richard III play later this year, but my exams are way too close then. orz

On a random note, getting really hooked (for real) on the K-pop craze right now. Been watching various SuJu variety shows as of late like Explorers of the Human Body and OH GOD SUJU MINI DRAMA I swear I died halfway through the Dangerous Friendship segment... repeatedly. And I stumbled upon a few Big Bang live performances late this afternoon and discovered the ~*~charisma~*~ Big Bang is famous for... especially G-dragon. G-dragon is also surprisingly more adorable than I thought he would be - he would be what I describe as a tiny terror. i foresee him becoming my next bias after Key and Ryeowook orz alsdkfjads I'm turning into such a girl noooo K-pop what have you done to my manly self.
