So, my weekend...

Saturday = SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!

Sunday = caught up on all the Britishness that had happened on TV throughout the week *cries* Doctor Who is finished NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! And also organised my bathroom Cabinet, and found 72yen. What the hell that was doing in the bathroom I have no idea.

Monday = Got up. Ate Breakfast. Attempted to clean. Gave up. Got Dressed. Did makeup. Downloaded songs. Took Bus to Fukuoka.
The bus to the city takes me about an hour and stops at Tenjin, cept I wanted to go to Hakata cos the Hankyuu mall there is the only place that has a MAC store and a NARS store and Im running out of powder foundation and concealer. In the end I am still running out of powder foundation cos they didnt have a light enough colour for me. Who stocks an entire range starting from the 3rd lightest in a country where EVERYONE wants to be as white as bloody possible? I suppose I'll have to buy off the interwebs as usual. I did however pick up a Nars cream shadow duo and some clinique concealer so not a total loss.
Following that I caught the bus to the Fukuoka Sun Palace, picking up some onigiri on the way, and I was headed towards my first concert since moving to Japan this year... TACKEY & TSUBASA - OUR FUTURE 2011!!!

Point One - Goods: I got to the con about an hour and a half early cos I didnt want to miss out on goods, nly to find that when I got there there was absolutely no sign of a line at all. I picked up the shushu cos it was HUGE and purple with rhinestones to a point where I recon Fujigaya would approve wholeheartedly. I also got the towel to wave during the con and also cos I live in Fukuoka and I never realised how much one needs their My Towel till I moved here. I am now one real cool dude who really knows where their towel is (points to whomever gets that reference). I got the Trip and Treasure Album as well cos I didnt have it yet and it came with a free poster that is now on one of my cupboard doors, and after the con I also grabbed a T-shirt cos it was cute with a heart and I really need more T-shirts that aren't black.

Point Two - Location, location, location: Fukuoka Sun Palace is about 10 minutes by bus away from Tenjin (the main shopping district that I get to by highway bus from my teeny tiny Nakama City) so its pretty convenient for cons. Its also right next to Hakata International Ferry port. So I decided to waste the interim hour or so between getting there and the concert starting by eating my onigiri while watching the ferries come in then meandering over to the port and getting some Raspberry Gelato (OMG soooo delicious) There was also a magician dude there doing balloon animals that I watched for a while.

Point Three - Seating: Getting into the con was really well organised, which I should have expected really this being Japan, but everything as run down to the last second and as soon as it hit 4.45pm we were shuffling into the hall. My seat was unfortunately right at the very back of the bottom floor, however The Sun Palace isn't the largest of venues so I could still see fine and didn't have to worry about annoying anyone behind me with my flail. I am however now thinking of investing in some binoculars for future events.

Point Four - Concert Start: As soon as it hit 5.00pm the whole place started chanting TAKKI *clap, clap* TSUBASA *clap, clap* which I found endlessly cute and of course joined in. Then the 3D video started and we all shut up and put on the 3D glasses. Screams were insane when the two finally came out on stage and started singing. One of the best things about T&T cons is that most of the songs have simple dance actions to go along with the choruses, and I seriously had not realised just how many of the actions I had remembered from watching con DVDs and Shokura for so many years. The only thing I kept getting wrong was which arm to dance with, but other wise it was awesome fun!!! Also back dancing was 4U and Five were on live band duty since they were in Fukuoka anyways cos they had their own live the next day.

Point Five - MC: I don't remember so much of this really but I'll try to give the gist. They had a con in Nagasaki the day before and then it was someones birthday that night so they all had a party and got drunk. And Takki got sooo drunk that Tsubasa had to help him back to his room cos he kept running into walls. Also that morning Tsubasa had gone for a walk all through Fukuoka, but no one in the audience had seen him.

Point Six - Encore: We got 3 encores, one obligatory and 2 actual, with all the audience yelling "One more time" and the TakkiTsuba clap from the beginning. They even made Five dance, and Tsubasa came out with bare feet cos he had been getting undressed already.

Point Seven: Getting home: I accidentally took the wrong bus back from the venue and had to go round in a big circle to get back to Tenjin, but even then I managed to get te bus an entire hour earlier than I thought I was going to be able tp so lucky on that note. Also on my bus 2 girls got on that had also gone to the concert and I was completely amazed cos really no one goes on my bus, its usually the least crowded one. And when I got off the bus they said お疲れ様でした, which is like "Good Work" that you say when you finish work or a party or finish anything really, so that was nice.

Point Eight - SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!

Tuesday: Class was OK, but I got hit by a basket ball in the face, which hurt. So fail! I also got roped into playing badminton with the 4th graders which was fun, though it left me with no typing time which is why Im Writing all this today!!!

Today/Wednesday: It got sprung on me late last night that I was teaching the 6th graders lesson 7 instead of lesson 6 which I had previously prepared so I was all over the place for the lesson and added a game at the last minute which ended up taking half an hour. On the up side, the school Im at today, while one of the lower level schools, is actually the furthest ahead of any I teach at. So I can afford to go super slow. Class with the grade 5s was fun though cos it was pretty much all games. Unfortunately the grade 5 class is even further ahead than the grade 6s so I recon I might just have a revision game class next week instead of starting up a new topic... I say that, but I cbf starting a new topic really.

And that's pretty much everything I think. Though i do have another 40mins of random time. I wish I could go home early, it takes half an hour to get home from here!!!

concerts, kids, school, pain, real life
