- The 2012 holidays were really stressful for me. I had to put both my mothers-in-law (D's mother and stepmom) in their place when they kept pressuring me about plans for Christmas. I was so down and had a lot of anxiety. On top of which, work was ridiculously stressful. I survived and the best part, the part that made it all worth it...
- D and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary in Negril, Jamaica. Pics here in case you haven't already seen them (at the end of the 2012 album):

I stressed about this trip before going too because Donovon hates traveling and I really wanted to make it worth it. It so was. He said he'd love to go back - and Donovon doesn't say that about any place (except the Philippines). It was a perfect way to celebrate 20 years of marriage.
- Work has become considerably less stressful the last few months and I'm more readily taking things in stride. I'm not sure why, but I can more or less attribute it to my manager not being a lot less of an ass. I have an excellent team (minus the person I had to terminate) and I really enjoy working with everyone. So for now, I'm pretty satisfied. I don't see myself here 5 - 10 years from now, but that's okay because it would have to take an opportunity that I could not turn down to make a move at this point.
- I think that last time I posted about school, I was debating on whether or not to continue. Well, I wrote portfolio essays for three courses in December (another reason why the holidays sucked). I'm waiting to hear as to whether or not they've been accepted. Additionally, I'm taking 2 courses this Spring 2013 semester and they're pretty much killing me. But I haven't quit. I'm still going and so far have a 4.0. :) I expect to graduate Spring 2015.
- My girls are great. Alexa is working on college applications/essays/etc. She wants to study film and become a film editor. She loves it and is very passionate and determined, so I know she'll go far. She gets a lot of negative feedback about majoring in film, but I keep telling her to use it as her fuel to succeed. I'm so proud of her and I just know she'll go far. Ava is a little Toot and Lord only knows what's in store for my crazy 3-year-old. She turned 3 in February and has been full of fun and attitude ever since. She's a lot more fun to talk with now. And temperament has simmered a little so she's less of a handful, but still marches to her own tune.
- My dad and stepmom are going to Italy in the Fall and invited us to join them!! I'm so fucking ecstatic!! They're renting a villa in Tuscany so all we need to cover is flights and food and expenses while we're there. We'll be there 10 days I think and just do Rome and Tuscany, which should be plenty. Can't wait!!! :) :) :)
