Summary:
- Mayuko's mask has crumbled. Worried about the two girls' friendship, Kanata (from episode 5) adviced Mirai into giving Mayuko another chance. However, the real reason why Mirai's not forgiving Mayuko isn't because of the lies, but because Mirai would lose her chance with Kamiki if she did. Disappointed with her pettiness, Kanata left.
- Also disillusioned, Kamiki has been giving Mayuko the cold shoulder, even going as far as ignoring her explanation. Seeing Mayuko's so-called "friends" isolating her was the last straw for Yamada who's been silently watching. Furious, he beat Kamiki to the ground and yelled at him to get real: Did he really think that nothing would change after four years?
- Mayuko's been alone all this time. He was there just before she got famous and saw how she fought on her own against jealous backstabbers and bullies. To Yamada, it seemed so unfair for Kamiki to reject Mayuko when she fails to live up to his expectations; especially since Kamiki's the only one who can truly hurt her.
- Frustrated and heartbroken, Mayuko blamed Nagase (from episode 6) for having persuaded her to go back. With no one to turn to, she ran to Yamada and begged him to take her home.
