Yep been since Sept 15th since my last entry.
Work continues to go well at the new site and life hums along. The past couple of weekends were all about errands, and stuff around here. Last weekend, I trawled all over the north end of Seattle, looking for the right sized cutting board to use as an improved isolation base for my turntable and not finding exactlyl what I wanted size wise, and thickness as well that didn't cost upwards of $30, or more. So I keep looking and when the right one comes along that is hopefully no more than $20, or preferably less (maple or some such, NOT bamboo for resonance/isolation purposes).
Anyway that took up most of last Saturday went downtown that Sunday, this weekend was taking care of a bit of business at the crredit union and finally got into Mint Credit Monitoring and noted my credit score is a bit higher, nice! So now I'm over 690 in all three agencies, the highest at 699. I also upped my credit limit, and they approved my request within minutes, I was asking for $200, but they gave me $400. So the trick here is to NOT use it all up if I can help it, as it'll give me distance of my current balence and the credit limit, which should raise my score even more, and NOT hurt my chances of buying a home. Still not heard from my lender and need to get my paperwork together and email her with a threat of if she didn't get back to me within 12/24 hours, I'd put in a complaint, and see if that gets her to respond. I need to know if there ar options for those of us trying to buy, but our rents have risen beyond the 50% mark, mine is nearly at the 60% mark currently. From our conversation, she t hought I was doing everything right, with my budget and such so that felt good. After my time at the CU, I went downtown again to buy a cyan (blue) ink cartridge for my printer as it was empty to the point that I could not print until it was replaced.
Today was laundry, redid the living room so all the boxes are now BEHIND the sofa, which I pulled out from the wall that backs up to the bedroom closet and now I hae if FREE to sit on again, yay! I can now enjoy the stereo at it's more or less prime listening position again, I'm SO stoked abouit that. It helps that there is moroe ROOM to get around in the living room now and I'm not on top of the speakers when I sit on that couch, all nice indeed.
Then went out and using a polishing kit I'd bought last weekend, I polished out all the oxidation of my headlight lenses as my car, a 2003 Mazda Protege 5 has the now ubiquitous composite headlight housings with poly carb lenses that get cloudy and yellow over time from UV exposure. Got them looking great but they are, alas, crazing and the left lens has a small crack in it so next summer, I'll have to replace them both. :-(
I then spent the late afternoon enjoying the audio system on my now unburied couch and enjoyed it very much. Dinner was a bit late, but late is better than never in my view.
This has put me in a great mood as I've kind of been in some not so great moods of late, so things ARE happening, and I've got some posts to do for my blog in the next few days. I also need to gather the credit scores from Mint, scan the last rent increase letter and obtain the latest pay stub off of paperless pay and shoot it off to my lender, and I still need to let my realtor know what's happening (or not).
So when stuff like that happens, can't complain at all. Beautiful today and I think we hit the upper 60's and it was super sunny out today, very lovely though I have noticed oour nights are getting rather chilly as some nights we hit 48/49F overnight but are usually in the low 50's already, daytime highs seem to mostly be in the 60's with forecasts of 70-72 but so far, not actually getting quite that warm. This week as far as I can recall, in and out of partly sunny days with the occasional rain/shower and highs mostly in the 60's.
So that's that and hope to have some answers by the end of the week on the house buying/rent situation.
