Hermit crab trickster

I all most threw away Alex's hermit crab. I thought Big Foot had died because I lifted the the rock cave he sleeps in to see a hermit crab laying limp and pale coming out of his shell, not moving at all. Of course this was righrtbefore I was expecting my parents for dinner and I just couldn't deal with it. So I left the dead hermit crab. And i forgot all about the dead hermit crab today, until I glimpsed movement out of the corner of my eye just now as I was gettinga  glass of water. The dead crab was up and in his water dish!! The damn thing had molted and just crawled way down into his current shell, thats why I didn't see him when I flipped his "empty" shell over. Damn, that would have been bad.

So long live Big Foot the Hermit crab. Damn thing.

TIme to fish out the molted skin, yuck
